All Stars League ended with Warne’s Warriors smashing Sachin’s Blasters by 4 wickets and winning the league by 3-0. The league was initiated by Sachin Tendulkar and Shane Warne to promote cricket in USA (America).
Warne’s Warriors White Washed Sachin’s Blasters: All Stars League
The league started by Sachin Tendulkar and Shane Warne reached its destination with Warne’s Warriors winning all the matches quite comprehensively. Warne’s Warriors won the series by 3-0 to lift the trophy with the efforts of key players like Kumar Sangakarra, Ricky Ponting and Jack Kallis.
Warne’s side won the first two matches played at New York and Houston. Sachin’s Blasters were aiming to win the last match but the story was different with Warne’s Warriors strong team.
Sachin’s Blasters had a stupendous start with Sachin and Sehwag Opening pair. Sachin showed his class with quick 55 and was firmly supported by his former opening partner, Sourav Ganguly (50). Sachin’s Blasters scored 219 runs in 20 overs. Daniel Vettori took 3 wickets for Warne’s Warriors.
The target was immense but the start by Shane Warne’s team wasn’t good with Michael Vaughan’s early wicket fall. Matthew Hayden also went cheaply but Man of The Series, Sangakarra’s 42, Ricky Ponting (43) and Kallis (47) combined to win it for Warriors with a ball remaining. Shane Warne ended the match with a Six of Virender Sehwag’s delivery.
All Stars League: Rise of Cricket in USA!
Warne and Sachin combined to endorse cricket in USA and they achieved their target to an extent. The crowd was in numbers though more than 90% were Asians and organisers have this challenge of making Americans eager for the game. The league gave some memorable moments with legends playing against each other with the like Sachin, Warne, Ganguly, Sanga, Kallis, Mcgrath, Rhodes, Sehwag, Wasim Akram, Lara, Ponting, Shoaib Akhtar and Others.
The league should aim to involve Americans in larger numbers and bring the zeal about the sports in the nation though this league has initiated it.
