April 25, 2015 will be marked as one the most darken days in the history of Asian countries, as the earthquake with the intensity of 7.9 as per measured on Richter Scale had left a traumatic feeling for the people of Nepal and also on India and on some neighbouring countries. The centre for the earthquake was 10 km below the earth’s surface in Lamganj, which is about 80 km from the national capital Kathmandu.
As per the updates the number of people died in the calamity has reached above 2100 mark, which also includes around 60 people from the Indian state of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal. The earthquake has left umpteen number of people seriously injured and has also damaged crores of property in Nepal. The number of casualties is bound to increase as the Army and Locals continues their rescue operation as there are number of people trapped in the debris of devastated buildings.
The officials have warned of more such earthquakes of high and low intensity for the next 72 hours, about 17 variable quakes were recorded on 25th of April which caused severe damage to the country, the famous and ancient Darhara tower was grounded and around 200 people were found died in its debris and the stats still getting updates, while famous Pashupati Nath Temple and other monuments are also heavily damaged.
The country is sandwiched between India and China thus these countries including Pakistan, Tibet, Bhutan and Bangladesh also had some effect of the earthquake but major calamity was in Nepal and especially in Kathmandu whereas avalanche at Mount Everest also killed few mountaineers, hence making Nepal look like a carnage of people by a Natural disaster.
Many countries have shown their concern for Nepal while India is helping the neighbour nation to cope up with the calamity as it is not going to be an easy task for a small country like Nepal to manage such situation alone, even PM Narendra Modi has taken charge from the Indian side and he assured Nepal of every possible help.
Biggies like Google and Facebook are also trying their level best to help the people of Nepal or to support Nepal like Facebook is asking for donation from their users and the Government of India and specially the Indian Army is working and helping the citizens of Nepal in every way they can. Indian Army is getting really wonderful compliments across the globe and one of the best compliment getting viral on social media is “Indian Army is in action and rescuing people even before any status published on Facebook about the Nepal Earthquake”. Stay tuned for more updates.
