India Vs South Africa ODI Match Report

India won the toss and Dhoni decided to bat first which seemed to be a bad decision initially as India was in deep trouble with all main batters giving their wickets within first 20 overs. India lost Rohit early then Shikar and out of form Virat Kohli followed. Rahane made a good 51 but it was MS Dhoni who battled till the end after Raina also gave it up (as usual). Low order batmen did support MSD to put a good total of 247.

South Africa were chasing quite an easy target and they begun quite well with Faf Du Plesis scoring another half century but it was Axar Patel who led Indiaโ€™s attack and took crucial wickets when needed. AB Devilliers wicket after David Millerโ€™s was the turning point for India as India mauled Africans before they could turn match in their favour. Axar Patel was shining star with 3 wickets and so was Bhuvneshwar Kumar with his 3 wicket haul as India cleaned African batting order at 225.
