Nokia brings an astonishing news for its fans. It is upturning to phone business probably in the first half of the year 2017. Before Smartphones, Nokia has reigned over the phone business and gave very remarkable handsets to people with lots of interesting features in it. It was prominent for its features which were simple and quite easy to use.
The Finnish company produced most memorable phone like Nokia 3310, Nokia 1100, Nokia 6600, Nokia E71 and many more. When apple brought its iPhone range in the market, it led to decline of the Nokia. Although it took another chance by collaborating with Microsoft which was not less than a gamble, didn’t prove to be a good choice for Nokia.
The first phone of Nokia powered by Google’s Android Software is coming around May, 2017. HMD Global has announced it has successfully secured exclusive licensing rights to Nokia brand for next 10 years. Two years back it was sold to Microsoft but didn’t get success. Recently, it listed some basic phone on its website like Nokia 105, Nokia 216 and Nokia 230 which are getting good response by people. Yes, in the world of iPhone also there are lots of people who love the Nokia’s basic phones which are long lasting and amazing quality at very reasonable prices.
It’s got official on its website “Elegant simplicity. Trusted reliability. Lasting quality. We are unlocking new extraordinary possibilities for billions of people. And we’re just getting started with new Smartphones coming in 2017.”
Back in may 2016, the company announced that it would be working on android devices, withdrawing its previous alliance with Microsoft. As expected, Nokia to hit the markets with its new Android phones by the end of 2016, which delayed due to some unknown reasons. The last release of the company was Nokia Lumia 650 in Feb 2016 and was off track, until it announced its new Android Project.
HMD says “Today marks a happy and important day for HMD. Nokia has been one of the most iconic and recognizable phone brands globally for decades. The excitement of re-introducing the much-loved, well known and trusted brand to smartphone consumers is a responsibility and an ambition that everyone at HMD shares.”
HMD will write the next chapter for the Nokia products. Licensing deal is just the first step of launching fresh android handsets. Hopefully, this one will be the mega hit for the company and who knows what standards it would set for the other smartphone companies.
