India Vs South Africa Final Test Match: Gandhi-Mandela Freedom Series
Riding high on recent success and series win, Team India led by Young gun, Virat Kohli would be keen to end South Africa’s tour to India on a bitter node by defeating them in fourth and final test match at Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium, Delhi. India has invincible advantage over Proteas as they lead the 4 match Test Series by 2-0 with one match being a draw at Bangalore due rain.
South Africa has faced their most difficult tour in past 9 years as their 9 year record of not losing a series on a foreign soil was broken by India. South Africa won the T20I and ODI series but Proteas were completely thrashed by Indian spin trio ( R Ashwin, R Jadeja and Amit Mishra) in the Test match series which resulted in series loss with one match to go. India has enjoyed enormous success in past 5 test matches especially because of their bowling department.

Virat Kohli’s Entourage would probably be the same which has contributed in winning the series though a less spin friendly track would mean an additional fast bowler to pair with Ishant Sharma. Varun Aaron may get that opportunity on Amit Mishra’s place. Shikhar, Murali Vijay, Pujara, Kohli, Rahane, Rohit, Wriddhiman Saha, Jadeja, Ashwin, Ishant and Aaron are likely to form the playing 11. Shikhar Dhawan and Ajinkya Rahane have been struggling for the form but team management would like to give them another opportunity.
South Africa has many concerns while facing spin bowling. Their openers are not capable enough whereas their top players have been found wanting in Indian Conditions. Vernon Philander is already in South Africa due to an injury whereas Dale Steyn fitness has added the concern to Proteas camp. Hashim Amla’s South Africa would play with similar team as they did in Nagpur Test but would expect a better performance. Van Zyl, Elgar, Faf Du Plessis, Amla, De Villiers, Duminy, Dane Vilas, Harmer, Rabada, Morne Morkel and Imran Tahir are expected to play the last match of the Indian tour.
