Former Indian Captain, Sourav Ganguly is the new President of Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB). Ganguly was selected as CAB President with unanimous votes.
Sourav Ganguly is the new CAB President
Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamta Banerjee announced the selection of Former Indian Skipper, Sourav Ganguly as the President of Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB). Sourav was functioning as Joint Secretary for CAB.
Jagmohan Dalmiya was at the position of CAB President but his sudden demise meant a new president was in waiting. Sourav Ganguly was close to Jagmohan Dalmiya and being with CAB for quite a time meant Ganguly’s selection as president was quite certain.
Jagmohan Dalmiya’s son Abhisekh Dalmia is selected as the new Joint Secretary of CAB and he takes Sourav’s position. Sourav Ganguly is second cricketer to Anil Kumble who will be at President’s position.
Mamta Banerjee and CAB officials voted for Sourav as the president which means ‘Dada’ will look and manage the cricket in West Bengal. Sourav will the successor to Dalmiya and knowing his passion for the game, there is no doubt that Bengal cricket is in some really good hands.
