Virender Sehwag would be at Feroz shah Kotla Stadium on December 3 in the last India Vs South Africa test match of Freedom Series as BCCI is planning for a Felicitation ceremony of India’s most entertaining cricketer.
BCCI to Felicitate Sehwag at Feroz shah Kotla
Virender Sehwag announced his retirement from all formats of the game recently and now BCCI is planning to felicitate the Legend at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium which also happens to be Sehwag’s home ground. Virender Sehwag would be present for the last test match of Gandhi-Mandela Freedom Series between India and South Africa where BCCI, Cricketers and Fans can honour the Entertaining Opener.
BCCI recently Felicitated Zaheer Khan at the Wankhede Stadium in the last ODI match of Freedom Series and now BCCI would be doing the same for ‘Nawab of Najafgarh’. India and South Africa would play the final test of 4 Test Matches at DCA Ground from December 3.
Sehwag has served India for more than a decade but lack of form and fitness forced him to hang his boots though his contribution to the Nation as a player is impeccable.
Virender Sehwag in All Stars League alongside Tendulkar and Warne
Viru may have quit the International formats of the game but he will continue to play in Ranji Trophy and also the upcoming All Star League to be held in USA to promote cricket in the nation. Sehwag has agreed to play in the league where he would be accompanied by legends like Sachin Tendulkar, Shane Warne, Wasim Akram, Graeme Smith and others. All Stars League would have 3 T20 Matches and it will take place in the month of November this year.
