Indian Fast Bowler, Zaheer Khan is set to retire from international cricket as suggested by the tweet of IPL Chairman, Rajeev Shukla. Zak will announce his retirement today.

Zaheer Khan has been India’s leading fast bowler for more than a decade but series of injuries and lack of cricketing form has forced him to retire from International circuit of cricket though he might play the Indian Premier League T20 Tournament.

37 Year fast bowler is popularly known as Zak, the cricketer has been vital part of Indian squad since his debut against Bangladesh back in November, 2000. Zaheer has represented India in 92 Test matches, 200 ODIs and 17 T20I matches. Zaheer has been India’s premier fast bowler as he grabbed 311 Test Wickets, 282 ODI wickets and 17 T2OI wickets at International arena. Zaheer Khan contributed immensely in India’s World Cup victory.
Zaheer Khan played his last International match against New Zealand at Wellington in February 2014, since then Zaheer has been out of form majorly due to injuries though he played some impressive cricket in IPL 2015 but still he couldn’t achieve the same success level as he did before.
Zaheer Khan will announce end of his International Cricketing career today but it remains to be seen if he plays for his IPL side Delhi Daredevils.
